La Campana National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO, 1985), is located in the Coastal Range of central Chile.

Its Mediterranean climate, present only 5% of the land surface, allows a high diversity of species unique to this environment.

Among the natural attractions of the park are:

  • Chilean palm forest, in the sector of Ocoa. This species (Jubaea chilensis) is the only native palm of Chile, and here more than 60,000 remain.
  • Sclerophyllous forest (hardwood forest leaf evergreen), consisting mainly of peumo, boldo, liter, hawthorn, radal, etc.
  • Oak forests in areas that exceed the 1000 meters above sea level (Cerro La Campana).
  • Fauna of central Chile, foxes, rodents such as degu and a variety of birds like the giant hummingbird, eagles, finches, rare, Turkish, thrushes, tench, etc.

All this can be seen in highly scenic routes such as the waterfall trails, the Guanaco, the Amasijo, the Andinista, the Peumos, oaks, among others. From the summit of Cerro La Campana, on clear days you can see on one side the Andes, highlighting Mount Aconcagua and the other the Pacific Ocean.

The musicality of his birds, the beauty of the vegetation, the mixture of aromas, warm breezes and cold air and the unusual tranquility that we enjoy, transform visit this park in an almost magical experience.
